Finding Video Assets

We provide access to over 200,000 video resources. As content creators, we need very high-quality stock videos, sound effects, and images to bring our concepts to life. Free websites don’t come without a catch. Some are free for personal use only or the quality is so bad it cannot be used unless you sign up for their expensive pro version.

The Internet is a breeding ground for copyright and trademark infringement trolls (Lawyers searching for you to break some type of copyright infringement so they can charge you absorbent amounts of money). This equates to being extremely careful about the content we put into the content we create. Finding free quality assets for our videos is not easy anymore. As a Solo Boss content provider, we take care of this concern, and it doesn’t cost you any money out of pocket.

Earning Revenue or Sharing Your Creativity

Why did you go through all the training to learn video design? Really, think deeply as to why you took all the time and put forth all the effort to learn video design? Because we either want our message to reach the world or we want to earn revenue. Whether it is a story we want to share or clients we want to find, now you are tasked with making that happen. There are lots of ways to make this happen but let’s talk about some of those methods in detail.

We dream of the content we create going viral but when is the last time you ever heard of a doodle going viral? Never? That sounds about right.

1.TikTok

TikTok has so many methods to earn revenue but there is a catch.

a) Going Live: This method requires 1,000 or more subscribers. Your subscribers give you gifts and those equal revenue.

b) TikTok Creator Fund: This is a 1-billion-dollar fund! Whoa! Right?! Well, TikTok created this fund to pay out to its followers. Its requirements to be in that fund is that you must have 10,000 followers and 10,000 views in the last 30 days. You must be at least 18 years old, and it pays about $0.04 per 1,000 views. This means you must have viral videos to see any serious revenue from this fund.

c) Sponsorship: Hope you know what a media kit is because you must create one start sending it video sponsors and see if they want to work with you. There is no magic list, you must find the sponsors as well. The sponsors already receive tons of these media kits from other Tik Tok video creators doing the same thing.

d) Sell Products: Sell different products to your followers. This method requires a lot of followers to work.

e) Affiliate Marketing: Promote other company’s products. This sounds easy enough, right? Once again, this method requires a lot of followers and only works as well as the affiliate marketing link and only if the followers buy it. I have affiliate marketing links that are supposed to be bringing in revenue but have never see anything yet.

2. Vimeo

If nobody knows your name, this is probably not the platform to try and earn revenue. There are two main methods to try and earn revenue from Vimeo.

a) Vimeo OTT (Anyone can sign up)

b) Vimeo On Demand (This requires a paid subscription)

Vimeo is one of those after I am famous type of platforms to try and make additional income.

3. Facebook

Hope you have a lot of followers because earning revenue on Facebook requires 150,000 views on your videos otherwise you won’t have access to allow ads within the content you create.

4. Commercializing

Thinking about places like Fiverr to advertise? Good luck. There are so many inefficient content creators selling videos for $5.00 to try and earn revenue so they can eat, this has become a breeding ground for people that steal assets and use them in their clients’ videos. It doesn’t matter that this is a big no-no or that you are paying for your assets legally, this is still your competition when you choose to go that route.

Thinking about advertising in other places? So is everyone else. The Internet is a big competition ground for the person that has the most time and skills in getting their services in front of the client first. Better have amazing marketing skills and have enough time to challenge your competition.

This method requires an absorbent amount of dedicated time, work, and knowledge. It requires a website or a place where clients can see content you’ve created. If you are looking to advertise for free then some serious knowledge of how to work the business side of Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Google Business, LinkedIn and anywhere else that will allow you to advertise for free is now required.

You can skip all that hassle and advertise for free by becoming a Solo Boss Content Provider. Potential clients will be viewing content you create. When these clients like your work, we will request to hire you for these jobs.

5. YouTube

Want to know what tough is, try and make it on YouTube alone. This is seriously tough and requires a LOT of time and energy! So many talented content creators create these fantastic videos and have no idea how to work YouTube or work with their algorithms. They find themselves with a very low number of subscribers trying for years to make it. Without a team of people, this method is very difficult to when life gets in the way.

Solo Boss is that team for which you can lean on to help make in on this platform. We take these talented content creators, regardless of skill level, and put them together so each content creator helps one another. It begins with you taking the first step.

There are different methods in which to earn revenue on YouTube.

a. Ads: To use this, it requires you to be part of the YouTube partnership program which is not easy to obtain. You need 4,000 watched hours in 1 year and 1,000 subscribers. Even when you reach that goal, the payout from YouTube is very minimal. To earn any serious revenue, 600,000 or more subscribers that fully watch your videos until the end is required.

b. Selling Merchandise: This method requires many subscribers to work. The viewers need to know how to look for merchandise and then they need to be able to buy it. It requires deals to be worked out with merchandisers and merchandise is always changing creating a short commercial in your videos is not an option. The best method you have is to post links in your description. What was the last video that you read the description on YouTube?

c. Affiliate marketing: This method is like selling merchandise and it requires a lot of subscribers that are willing to sign up to these places. These places make money by advertising to your clients and the only way for you to earn revenue is if your viewers purchase directly after clicking your affiliate link.
