Keyboard Shortcuts

A combination of keys that can be used to execute specific commands within a program. These keys are typically in combination with the CTRL (CMD on MAC), ALT (Option on MAC) or the Shift keys

Note: If you don’t know your shortcut keys, learn them. They are very important to a speedy creation in Doodly and will save you so lots of time when creating your doodles. The documentation provided is for Windows but Mac users can convert easily enough.

Technical Knowledge

Shortcut keys are not universal in all programs. They are individually programmed into each piece of software by the developers and not an automatic insertion by the operating system or some program. How the shortcut key works is up to the developer.

Common Keys

The below keys will typically work in most programs on a Windows computer and not just Doodly.

  • CTRL+C: Copy
  • CTRL+X: Cut
  • CTRL+V: Paste
  • CTRL+A: Select All
  • CTRL+Z: Undo
  • CTRL+Y: Redo
  • CTRL+S: Save
  • CTRL+Shift+S: Save As
  • CTRL+W: Close a window (In Doodly, this may close the program but I believed they fixed that issue)
  • F11: Full Screen
