Text Size and Style

This document explains why text size and style are important to your doodle, provides examples of different styles and sizes so the user can decide what they don’t like about the styles and showcases the difference between displaying something and explaining something.

2. We have great nails
We carry orange nails, green nails, red nails, purple nails, hollow tipped nails, expanding nails, d-shank nails, galvanized aluminum nails, outdoor nails, indoor nails, metal nails, wood nails, board nails, concrete nails, water nails, non-rust nails, fence nails, house nails, bungalo nails, car nails, tire nails, hub nails, air gun nails, rifle rocket nails, you made it this far, my goodness why are you still reading this? Do I need to go on further about the type of nails we carry or do we have an understanding on the point I am attempting to make?

It is okay to put detail into a product description but remember, in marketing, pictures sell and words describe. Over describing your message will lose the viewers attention just like the above while we are thinking, okay enough is enough or really to something that was listed? When listing too much text in the doodle, this makes people work and people, in general, don’t want to work after a hard days work. It also gives them reason to doubt your product or message. The more text, the more ability to disagree and your viewer is lost.

GIANT FONT

DO YOU LIKE READING THIS OR DO THIS MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE, AS IF SOMEONE IS YELLING AT YOU!

How About This?! Do You Like To Read THIS……………. would YOU STICK AROUND if the VIDEO YOU WERE WATCHING…… LOOKED LIKE THIS!??!

Keep in mind the perception of the viewer when creating a doodle. We understand that it is ALL IMPORTANT but the IMPORTANT thing to remember, as a video content provider, is to keep a balance of viewer focus, images, video content, colors and descriptions. Larger font typically does well for titles. Keeping in mind, we need to keep our font large enough to be viewed on mobile devices but not too large that it DRIVES THE VIEWER AWAY FROM OUR MESSAGE BECAUSE THEY FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE BECAUSE OUR TEXT IS TOO LARGE OR IN ALL CAPITALS.

Text Style

This is just as important as the size of your font. I have written an entire article on this subject to help choose when to use those scripty or serif type fonts that we all love dearly and when is not the correct time for choosing them.
